After a successful summer experience, a Tea Party-affiliated organization is offering Saturday morning civics classes for children.

The Tampa 912 Project sent out a message announcing October sessions of its Tampa Liberty School in Carrollwood and Brandon.

“The school is dedicated to educating, enlightening, and exciting the youth of America, as to the fundamental principles and beliefs on which this country was founded,” the notice said.

Classes run from 9 a.m. until noon at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Carrollwood and the Boys and Girls Club in Brandon.

Principles they teach include: Blending freedom and responsibility requires virtuous, moral, and educated citizens.  Story here.
