Jeb Bush says President Obama could win re-election in 2012 and that Republicans have yet to offer a “compelling alternative” to current policies.
The former Florida governor also praised Sarah Palin’s political instincts and discounted chances for Charlie Crist to make a political comeback – all part of a wide-ranging interview on Monday with Newsmax TV at its West Palm Beach headquarters.
Asked about Obama’s prospects in 2012, Bush said: “I wouldn’t under-estimate his ability to get re-elected . . . It’s possible he could reassemble the coalition that would allow him to win.”
